Several different camel Kenya tour are offered in the drier Northern parts of Kenya. Clients are likely to see wild animals and many species of birds. These tours typically include atleast four nights camping under the stars in comfortable but unpretentious style-there are camp beds, tour showers, and meals cooked over the campfire.

Experienced horse back riders can enjoy the unique experience of exploring some spectacular wild Savannah and bush on even terms with the wild animals. You begin your Horse Kenya tour ride from a base camp or ranch house to follow game trails cross-country on horseback. There is no sign of modern roads or even telephones poles, just space and freedom for the four-to-six hour ride to the saddle tour camp, usually set near a shady waterhole.

Some saddle tours combine horseback and four wheel drive photographic segments, some are “no frills” with riders taking car of some of their own camp needs, some include a “rest” at a house on the beach. There are several; different Kenya tour itineraries to choose from and some trips are offered on a guaranteed departure basis with the price changing depending on the numbers of riders who actually go on the trip.

As a rider you must have your own accident and medical insurance before arriving in Kenya. Only riders confident at all paces are accepted. You must have suitable riding attire including warm clothing and a waterproof jacket, coat, or poncho in case of rain.

For those horsemen who wish to ride as a relaxing form of exercise or to add an extra dimension to their stay at a Kenyan ranch, lodge, or hotel, there are a number of places offering guests opportunity. There are some where the trail ponies are even suitable for beginners.
